Call out to women, this shop does not condescend to women. Bristow's restored my '82 Honda from a shoddy repair job I got from the dealership. Yet, Brian at the front of the shop did not and would not bad mouth other mechanics.. good karma. Since my first visit I have fallen on financial hard times and the shop helped me out by doing just enough to keep my car running. What really counts is their workmanship, which is excellent. The difference in the way my car runs from before to after going to Bristow's is night and day

I recently had Pete and his team check out my Qvale Mangusta. This is a relatively rare car (only 284 made). Pete was very familiar with the car and had even visited the production facility in Modena, Italy in 2001.Pete's team did an excellent job assessing my car's required maintenance and were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Their price was reasonable and all work was completed in a very quick manner. I will definitely be using Bristow's for all my maintenance and performance work in the future.

I took my car here to have a charging system issue looked at. I thought I needed a new alternator, but they tested my entire charging system, and everything was fine. They then checked my car's computer, and found an error code that was throwing up the battery warning light. Although they didn't have the equipment to fix the error code, they do have relationships with the car dealerships along S Tacoma Way. They took my car to Tacoma Dodge to have this computer issue resolved, which was done in short order. I had my car back by the end of the day. Although they specialize in working on exotic cars (I saw a Mercedes SL 500 parked in the garage!) they will also work on everyday cars, as well. If you have a Dodge, Jeep, or Chrysler, this is a very good shop since they have a relationship with Tacoma Dodge just two blocks up the road. Recommended.

I have been bringing all my vehicles to Bristow's for service, repairs, and modifications for over 13 years. Pete's extensive knowledge base for all foreign autos is very impressive. He has taken care of my BMW's and Porsches with the top notch care and attention to detail. The staff are all friendly and attentive to your needs. Pete has always taken the extra effort to make everything right so that I would be happy with all the service for my cars.

I've had my 1988 Porsche 911 in for tech inspections prior to track days and had always been satisfied with the work performed at Bristow's. This year my wife and I decided to take a 6000+ mile road trip in the 911 and I knew there were some items for maintenance so I asked the guys at Bristow's to change belts, upgrade the aircon, and generally inspect the car for anything else they would recommend. They did all I asked for a reasonable price, but, more importantly, completely checked the car, made a couple of suggestions, and, once done, I had complete confidence to take my 26 year old car on an epic trip to Chicago, Route 66 to LA, and up the coast to Tacoma. There were many areas on the trip where we did not have cell coverage, no AAA in case of breakdown, but never once did I lose the confidence that Pete, Brian, and the techs give me in the performance or handling of my car.Thanks All, we had a special trip, great fun, and a flawless performance from our 911.

I recently bought a heavily used 1993 Honda Accord, and went to Bristow's to have a diagnostics check done and repair several lights that were out. The Bristow's team kept me informed about the work being done and what they were learning about my car, explaining it in Layman's terms and really working to teach me rather than just tell me. The visit took slightly longer than expected, but thanks to the Bristow's front desk team I and my two young children felt extremely comfortable in the waiting room. I intend to take my car to Bristow's for all of its maintenance needs.

I love Bristow's!!! Brian (front counter guy) is excellent at communicating to both the customer and for the customer. He squeezed me in when i had a car emergency. He clearly explained what the shop mechanics had found and also made recommendations of work that needed to be done based on my car's mileage. He explained which of them should be prioritized and how long each of them would take to complete.The mechanics are thorough and meticulous. They managed to even fix the squeak that a previous shop couldn't manage to remedy. Yay!My car was cleaned & vacuumed when I picked it up!. A nice touch. Pete Bristow has assembled quite the crew. It's awesome to have an automotive repair shop that is honest & dependable. I'm so glad I found Bristow's Automotive.
